Emergency Contact

For any day-of issue — equipment failure, venue problem, client conflict, or anything else that needs immediate attention — call:

Day-of Emergency
Spencer Frazier
⚠ Important

Do not attempt to resolve client conflicts or venue disputes on your own. Call Spencer immediately and let him handle it.

Dress Code

Continental events are upscale. Your appearance should match the caliber of the venue and the expectations of the clients. The standard is wedding-formal with a stylish, modern edge.

✓ Example Outfit

  • Black Lululemon-style slacks (fitted, clean)
  • White button-up shirt
  • Gray sport coat or blazer
  • Clean, stylish sneakers or dress shoes

✗ Do Not Wear

  • T-shirts, hoodies, or casual streetwear
  • Ripped, faded, or baggy jeans
  • Dirty or worn-out shoes
  • Hats or sunglasses indoors

When in doubt, overdress. You represent Prestige Weddings & Events and Continental at every event.

Cancellations & Weather Changes

Weather-Related Changes (day of event)

Contact the day-of Event Manager directly. This person is different for each event and will be identified in your event details. They have authority to make real-time decisions about ceremony relocation, setup changes, and timing adjustments.

Event Cancellations

Contact Spencer Frazier at 586-879-7188. Do not communicate cancellation details directly with the client.

Equipment Troubleshooting

Equipment issues happen. Stay calm, work the problem, and communicate early.

  1. Identify the issue and attempt a quick fix (swap cables, restart controller, switch inputs).
  2. If not resolved within 5 minutes, call Spencer at 586-879-7188 immediately. Do not wait until the problem escalates.
  3. Keep music playing by any means necessary — phone aux, Bluetooth speaker, laptop direct — while troubleshooting.
  4. Never tell the client the equipment is broken. Simply say you're making a quick adjustment.
⚠ Important

Always bring backup essentials to every event:

  • Backup cables (XLR, aux, power)
  • Backup music device (phone or tablet with playlists ready)
  • Backup wireless mic batteries
  • Gaff tape and zip ties

Typical Event Timeline

Every event is different, but here is a general flow for a standard yacht wedding with a ceremony. Always defer to the specific event details provided by the detailer.

Location: Jefferson Beach Marina
Address: 24400 Jefferson Ave, St Clair Shores, MI 48080
Gate Code: 2202

Arrival & Load-In

Always arrive 2 hours before the planned music start time. Navigate to Jefferson Beach Marina and pull through the gate using code 2202. Drive approximately 0.5 miles to reach the docking area for the yachts.

You may park your vehicle close to the boarding zone during unloading, then move to the designated parking area once equipment is off-loaded.

⚠ Important

All equipment must be loaded onto the yacht and fully set up at least 30 minutes before planned guest arrival and boarding.

Downtown Docking Events

Some events are downtown docking events, where guests board and exit in downtown Detroit rather than at Jefferson Beach Marina. For these events, the yacht cruises from the marina to the downtown dock before guests arrive.

⚠ Important

Downtown docking events require you to arrive 3.5 hours before the event start time at Jefferson Beach Marina — not downtown.

You will set up your equipment while the yacht cruises from the marina to the downtown Detroit dock.

Downtown docking events include additional pay to compensate for the extended time commitment.

Ceremonies

Ceremonies take place on the water, approximately 100 feet to the left of the wooden gazebo.

⚠ Important

You will need approximately 100 ft of extension cord to run power to the ceremony site. Plan accordingly.

The client is promised the following for their ceremony:

Ceremony Equipment Checklist

Recommended

⚠ Important

As soon as the ceremony ends, quickly break down all ceremony equipment and board the yacht immediately. Time is critical.

Infinity Yacht
3D Tour on Matterport

DJ Setup — Second Deck

The main DJ sound system is set up on the second deck, underneath the awning, in the corner. Stands are recommended but not required if weather is unfavorable.

Required Equipment

Dinner Music & Speeches

⚠ Important

The DJ plays music on the upper deck during cocktails and dinner. The house system handles background music for all other areas of the yacht. If a client has specific dinner music preferences, they must communicate them to their detailer, who coordinates with the cruise director.

⚠ Important

The DJ emcees speeches using the house system microphone. Microphones for speeches, cake cutting, and other 1st deck activities are provided by the yacht — NOT by the DJ. Make this abundantly clear to avoid confusion.

Grand Entrance

There are no traditional grand entrances on the Infinity Yacht. Instead, the "grand entrance" happens simultaneously with the couple's first dance so all guests can see from the second deck.

⚠ Important

Exception: Sometimes a grand entrance onto the Infinity Yacht is permitted. In that case, use the main sound system on the second deck and point the speaker toward the dock. Confirm with the detailer beforehand.

Ovation Yacht
3D Tour on Matterport

DJ Setup — Third Deck

The main DJ sound system is set up on the third deck, directly in front of the American Flag. This space is uncovered.

⚠ Important

In the event of rain or inclement weather: set up underneath the covered area by the bar, or wait until weather subsides to set up on the third deck.

If using tops on tripod stands, keep the stands close to the DJ table and set to the lowest height. On windy days, tops should be placed on the ground, kick-stand style, pointing up at a 45-degree angle.

Required Equipment

Dinner Music & Speeches

⚠ Important

Same policies as the Infinity Yacht: The DJ plays music on the upper deck during cocktails and dinner. The house system handles all other areas. The DJ emcees speeches using the house system microphone — speech mics are provided by the yacht, NOT by the DJ. Special song requests during dinner are to be submitted by the client to the detailer.

Grand Entrance

There are no traditional grand entrances on the Ovation Yacht. The "grand entrance" happens simultaneously with the first dance on the third deck so all guests can see.

Contact Directory

The detailers at Continental are the main point of contact for clients. Reach out to the appropriate contact based on venue.
